A risk is a situation in which the outcome is unknown. There are a variety of events that are resultant of the risk. These events can be either positive or negative. Sometimes, the risk can even include good and bad consequences.

Returns are the amount of money given to those who made investments. A return range from an abundance of wealth (positive) to a newly obtained debt (negative). A rate of return is the percentage that is applied to a given amount of money and then added into one's account.
